I found some clay I had knocking around for a few years, buried in the garage and over the past few evenings have been retraining myself on the whole reclamation process. More of a phaff than I remember. I suppose at college we were all too dependent on the the technician to supply clay all prepped through the pug-mill.
So my first workable clay in 25 years… I wouldn’t trust it through a kiln though, but perfect for rolling, cutting and assembling to test my making skills. Just needs wedging.
I am thinking of creating a temporary plasterboard wedging table that can be clamped to my workshop table. Fingers crossed it will work. This is a link to Simon Leach’s video on how to do it… Simon Leach reclaiming clay
